BOTOX:
Botox is the neuromodulator most people know by name. It contains botulinum toxin type A, which works as a muscle relaxer by quieting the signals that tell muscles to contract, and that softens the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. With precise, careful placement, the result is a refreshed and natural look.
DYSPORT:
Dysport works the same way, using abobotulinumtoxinA to calm the nerve signals that tell muscles to contract, for a smoothing effect. Its unique properties let it spread over a slightly larger area than Botox or Xeomin, which can be lovely for dynamic expression lines, the ones formed by repeated movement, such as crow's feet and frown lines. Side effects and downtime are typically minimal.
XEOMIN:
Xeomin is a pure form of botulinum toxin type A, without additives, because certain proteins are removed during processing. That may lower the already extremely rare chance of an allergic reaction and the likelihood of your body developing antibodies to it. Patients who want a softer look often appreciate the facial freedom Xeomin allows while it still softens fine lines and wrinkles.
JEUVEAU:
Jeuveau is one of the newer neuromodulators I offer. It is a purified 900 kDa botulinum toxin type A that softens the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. It's a precise product and wonderful for targeting a specific area.
