Kybella Injection

Dr. Day and her team are proud to offer Kybella, a new FDA approved injectable treatment that significantly improves chin contouring without the invasiveness or downtime of surgery.

What To Expect
How it works
Kybella works simply by destroying fat cells. The injection consists of a synthetic formulation of deoxycholic acid, a substance found naturally in the body that breaks down and absorbs dietary fat. Once these fat cells are destroyed, they can no longer store or accumulate fat. You will have a permanently more contoured and defined jawline.
How we do it
Topical numbing will be used prior to the treatment to ensure you are as comfortable as possible prior to the injections.
Side effects
After the injections, swelling is expected and can last from 1-3 weeks.
Time to full effect
Though the fat dissolves within 10-15 minutes, you may experience significant swelling that can mask the initial effects. The swelling should subside in 1-3 weeks and you should see your final results within 4-6 weeks. Typically two to three treatment sessions are needed for optimal results.

Is Kybella a filler?
Kybella is not necessary considered a filler. It is the first and currently the only FDA-approved injectable that contours and improves the appearance of submental fullness (also known as "double chin").
